I have schizophrenia. While trying dorsal vagal exercises I improved suddenly as I used them at the beginning. But it gradually went back to it's normal ways. But I noticed subtle things, like just now, while I was outside everything started going quiet when I was at a busy place. I used a little bit of this dorsal vagal exercise and the noise came back. Could blockages through the nervous system cause things like dissociation?
Now i can breathe, when i bent the kneck, i felt a surge of oxygen enter my lungs, and my head cleared, even my eyes are now sharper and no longer half closed or squinting.. who knew, that after many years of suffering, a smartphone and Sukie could make all the difference! I feel 😢 for the people who can't access this information.
I did those massages while you're talking in the end I found myself relaxed with sleepy eyes👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.....Thanks for the video

Every time I do these types of things on my right side its an intense nausea & a weird feeling in my upper chest. On my left side it’s less intense. Why is that?

Well done! Very professional, soft voice, considerate, and the exercises WORKED. I felt that the inner ear canal backward massage was just very releasing. I have a Lower jaw protrusion. This just released all that lock-jaw-muscled tension. Thank you, better than any pharma drug!

I definitely feel the tension has greatly diminished on my left and right side of neck. The left was the most tense beforehand. When I did the exercise to the left I felt emotion, hard to describe except that it felt quite intense and possibly from an angry or more aggressive state. Thanks. I will do this often as well as the ear exercises 😊
Immediate relief and guarantees a deep power nap or better nights sleep
So far the only thing that helps is alcohol but that's not healthy, I'm very tense in the inside, and very calm on the outside and get exhausted from this tension inside. When I am about to do something I tense up like brushing my teeth and then I just rush thorough it. Also small things like opening an email (at work) can be daunting and I freeze and do something else and hence I procrastinate very much. I don't recover well, I don't get rejuvenating sleep instead wake up exhausted. My digestion is very bad, also have constipation if I don't eat lots of whole meal fiber. I had years and years ( more than a decade) of stress on a weekly basis because of unstable home environment since early childhood and also problems in school (bullying) so all that chronic stress is stored in me. I'm 50 now, still struggling , I think I understand basic theory, where do I start? Is there a program?

Susie, this is AMAZING! I just did this for the first time and feel like I need a nap! I've suffered from Recurrent Major Depression for 55 years and NOT ONE HEALTH PROFESSIONAL HAS EVER EXPLAINED THE IMPORTANCE OF THE VAGUS NERVE TO ME. I've been going through an extremely difficult time lately, despite being on my usual meds, taking an additional med to help sleep when needed, exercising and being retired yet NOTHING has helped to rid me of the extreme agitation in my neck, shoulders & head like these simple exercises. Hi Sukie, these exercises are incredibly powerful. I am nine days into a covid infection, as well as having unmedicated ADHD. The combination is not fun as far as my anxiety and breathing goes. I was absolutely beside myself with panic when I gave these exercises a go. I felt instantaneous relief. Enough to be able to sleep. Now I'm back here again the very next day, as I think I'll need these daily as I heal. Thank you so much for being one of the people in the world who helps others without asking anything in return.
